Dr. Jack Kim, O.D.
Dr. Jack Kim is a glaucoma certified optometrist trained to detect and manage macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, child vision development issues, and other blinding eye diseases.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego and stayed in Southern California several more years to work in protein and mass spectrometry research. Dr. Kim then moved on to optometry at the New England College of Optometry and received his doctorate in 2009.
Dr. Kim has completed externships at seven unique medical hospitals and health centers to acquire the diverse knowledge needed to treat today’s eye infections, inflammations, injuries, and allergies. Medically, he is trained to manage patients with diseases and disorders such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and neuro-ophthalmic disorders. He also offers consultations and provides pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing cataract and refractive laser eye surgery (LASIK). In addition to providing general eye and contact lens exams, Dr. Kim enjoys providing pediatric eye care and helping patients requiring low vision aid and vision therapy.
